At short notice I was required to find an aged care placement for my mother. Fortunately I came across Marlena from Supportive Aged Care. Never having dealt with this situation before I was totally lost. Marlena was able calmly guide me through a very challenging process, from supplying all the forms I needed to complete, compiling a short list of facilities to inspect, organising an inspection appointment time, liaising with the hospital to get my mother transported to the aged care facility and answering the inane questions I asked of her. The end result is that my mother is now receiving the care & support she needs. I would highly recommend using Supportive Aged Care if your going through a similar experience. BillI had dealings with Mia and Marlena from Supportive Aged Care to help me find a home for our father. Without them, I would have been lost. They were very caring and nothing was ever too hard for them to help me with. Their knowledge of aged care matters was fantastic and so helpful. They went out of their way to ensure Dad was settled into his aged care facility. Their follow up service was great, it helped me to feel at ease to know that I could still contact them even after my father moved into the aged care facility. This was such a hard time for me. I would recommend their service to anyone who is needing help moving into aged care.

We also felt the pressure of my mothers’ need to leave the hospital quickly. Mia explained and guided us through the process, helping us with every step to get our mother into her new home. She gave us a short list of aged care facilities to look at and attended two of those tours with us. She was very considerate of our needs and understood this was a big step for our mother. Mia made our mother feel comfortable and explained the choices available to her. We were able to pick an aged care facility that our mother liked, and we could not have done this, without the support of Mia. Jonathan. SWe used Supportive Aged Care to help find an aged care home for my Grandfather. Marlena was very professional and really helped us to find the best aged care home for him. He had difficult needs and we were initially turned away from a few aged care homes we looked at. When we contacted Marlena, she was very reassuring and compassionate. Within a few hours, she found us an aged care home, that was the perfect environment for my Grandfather. She remained involved and was very sensitive in her dealings with our whole family as she helped us to manage conflict in the family in a number of our things and decisions we had to make. She was very calm, professional and helpful in her advice and support that she provided.
